We were thrilled to see that Bahar, the absolutely gorgeous founder and editor of RESCU.COM.AU and author of RescuMe! included our stunning OXUS Gold Serpent Choker in her Christmas wish list. Bahar agrees the piece is an absolute showstopper and an essential accessory item for the new year...we couldn't agree more.

What moves you? Where are you most at home?
Those answers have never shifted for me, not since I was old enough to hold a pencil. My first work experience was in the drawing department of a local newspaper, watching with adolescent envy the talents of cartoonists and graphic designers bringing their work to life with effortless precision.
I soon came to understand that there was nothing effortless in the way objects came into being. Design is a process. There are no shortcuts. Talent only morphs into skill given plenty of application.
My twenties, naturally, found me behind a drawing board. Cartoons and free form illustrations gave way to rigid, precision lines, reviews and revisions. And in time, the drawing board itself faded into a dusty corner and the heady smell of ammonia printing gave way to early CAD programs, clunky 2D drawings and revisions...and years later to the incredible array of computer-driven design we take for granted.
We would sign off with our handwritten moniker then. We can model a piece now on a screen, if we so wish...tap away in virtual reality until the prize is complete. And the resulting render will rival the final piece in terms of its incredible, photo real finish.
My sister and I started OXUS with a vision of bringing original, quality pieces to the market. Jewellery we would wear ourselves, and believed in. Our first, sell-out favourites (the hand cut crystal earrings and the simple, elegant cuff, with stones set on a 45 degree cut) set the pace. The feedback from clients gave us the impetus to continually refine our look and to keep working at pieces a man or woman could wear every day.
We hope you love wearing them as much as we love making them for you.
Come back and visit us often. I hope you enjoy the blog.
